Best Holidays
Hello everyone, today I am going to write about the best holidays .
This mini-holidays was the most short but the best holidays I ever had.
Was a gift of birthday for me, when i turn 18 years old, and I shared it with my brother who was 12 years old at that time (now he is going to turn to 18 years old boy and i am a 24, time flies!)
It was short (it lasted 4 days) but I enjoyed it a lot, it meant very much for me. It was a tour for the Elqui Valley, in January of 2016
My brother and I, we travel alone (this one was the first time that was travelling without my parents, and also it was the first time that I was “in charge” of my brother to one hundred per cent) in plane up to the airport of La Serena, and we remain in a hotel. Also it was the first time that was lodging me in a hotel. This day in the evening, we went to walk along the center of La Serena.
On the second day, we wake up early and the people in charge of the tour took us in bus towards the Elqui Valley, we visit two “pisqueras” and also Gabriela Mistral's museum in Montegrande. Also we have lunch in a restaurant that was called " Delicias del sol " where they were preparing the food in a few grills that were working with solar light, it was a great experience.
The following day, we had a tour in the evening, which was towards the observatory Mamalluca (this it is the name of the hill where there is located) that also was in the Elqui Valley.
When we come to this place, still was not hiding the Sun completely, and already the stars were seen. After a short chat that they did to us, we go out on the outside and many stars were seen in the sky, it was wonderful. Also we could look across a telescope of follow-up at some heaps of stars. This one was the best part of the trip, since I like much the astronomy. We could see in addition shooting stars and some comets due to the fact that the sky there is very clear and removed of the light of the city.
To the last alone day it reached us the morning to buy a few gifts for our family and then to take the plane to Santiago.
In 2013 I had the great opportunity to take a study trip to Mamalluca. It is a beautiful place.
ResponderBorrarI'm not a fan of Pisco, but I'd love to visit "Valle del Elqui" and see the beautiful starry sky that you describe in your post. I love astronomy, but sincerely I don't look myself as an astronomer uwu
ResponderBorrarI´m from the north and Elqui´s Valley is magical. If you have the oportunity of camping in Pisco elqui you need to do it.
